I ran a red light on my way home.

Barely at that, actually. It turned red as I crossed the intersection.
Soon after, I noticed police car lights blinking at the corner of my eye and I thought I was going to get pulled over.
But no, the cop had already pulled someone over and was guiding that car to the side of the road. So I continued home singing out loud to ‘The Sound of Music’ soundtrack.
